Despite being the second Jog/Shuttle release by numbers, this really is the first one and I feel very lucky to present it: Our Foolish Pride is the latest incarnation of Berlin based artist Till who has already released several Gameboy-made chiptune albums as Flashbob, most recently on Kittenrock.

The Our Foolish Pride EP now goes into an entirely different direction. Actually, I don’t know much about all these tiny genres of electronic music, so I don’t know what box this release should go to. I’ll just try to describe what it sounds like to me:

Our Foolish Pride sounds like the soundtrack for early summer. It sounds like having your eyes closed and seeing the bright sunlight only as a dark orange projection through your eyelids. But there is a flicker, interrupting the light. Sometimes it feels random like you’re lying in the park and the sunlight is disturbed by the leaves moving in the wind. Sometimes it feels like a beat, like sitting in a hot suburban train where the sunlight is broken by poles and bridges speeding past. (Actually, someone please make a music video to the song you like most. We’d love to see that.)

This is only my interpretation, sorry for influencing you. And I guess it is entirely different from the artist’s idea. Whatever.
